Located in the vibrant neighborhood of Alppila quarter in Helsinki, Linnanmäki is Finland’s oldest and most cherished amusement park. The park was opened in 1950 and is a significant contributor to child welfare, managed by the non-profit Children’s Day Foundation.

Linnanmäki offers over 40 rides that cater to thrill-seekers and gentle ride lovers alike, making it an ideal spot for families with kids of any age. A classic ride is the historic wooden rollercoaster, thrilling since 1951, whereas modern wonders include the indoor roller coaster Linnunrata eXtra housed in an old water tower.

Beyond the rides, Linnanmäki offers a variety of other attractions such as arcade games, game booths, and even live performances on the outdoor stage during the summer months. With numerous kiosks and restaurants dotting the landscape, your family can enjoy some snacks to refuel or a proper meal.

Open from spring through to autumn, the park invites visitors to enjoy the fresh air and natural beauty of Helsinki in the warmer months. Entry to the park is free, but you have to pay for most rides or get a pass that allows you to enjoy unlimited rides. Linnanmäki is a must-visit destination for families in the Helsinki area.
