Kylämäki Village of Living History offers families an authentic glimpse into Finland’s past through its well-preserved wooden houses and four historic farms dating back to the 7th century. Children and adults can experience daily life from the 1950s through hands-on activities, traditional crafts, and farming demonstrations.
The open-air museum combines education with entertainment, allowing visitors to actively participate in historical workshops while enjoying the scenic surroundings. Families can explore the grounds year-round, perfect for picnics and nature walks, while the historic buildings are open during summer and special events. Most visits are free, though some activities may have a small fee.
